Jeannine Kunz is the Chief Workforce Development Officer at SME and leads a team focused on taking action to strategize nationally and partnering locally to build a systematic, holistic approach to workforce development that optimizes, accelerates, and scales effective local initiatives and programs and trains current and future talent across the US. She is a passionate expert committed to building the future of manufacturing – advancing innovation, adopting new technologies, and strengthening the talent pipeline to ensure sustainable growth and industry success. Kunz serves as a Board of Director for the Manufacturing Technology Deployment Group and Coalition for Career Development along with several high-profile committees, including a National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine-appointed ad hoc committee that developed options for a national plan for smart manufacturing technology development and deployment, and the workforce committee chair of the manufacturing division of the National Defense Industrial Association, and the education and workforce committee member for ARM, the Robotics Institute. She is the co-chair of the Smart Manufacturing Executive Council led by CESMII and SME to help accelerate the adoption of advanced digital technologies.
