C23: Build Troubleshooting Know How to Optimize Performance, Maximize Profits and Delight Your Customers

This session will break down what's actually going on in pretreatment tanks to prevent defects and know what to do when things go sideways. Using real life examples and hands-on demonstrations, we will equip powder coaters with critical knowledge of how cleaners, rinses, conversion coatings, and sealers work to remove soils, prevent flash rust, promote paint adhesion, and deliver corrosion resistance. We will highlight important factors for each stage of the wash process and tie them to common defects so finishers understand what to check first to quickly address the root cause of issues that arise. Attendees will develop the know-how to quickly and confidently respond to problems that arise on the wash line.
