Overview

Optimization of Your Stamping Process

11:00 am – 12:30 pm Intermediate

If you’re in operations or production, optimization = money. Optimizing your stamping process starts with selecting the right press. Servo presses allow control of pendulum motion, stroke utilization, and slide velocity to fine-tune forming performance and reduce impact. Hydraulic presses provide adjustable stroke length, full tonnage throughout the stroke, and consistent energy delivery, while link motion mechanical systems optimize slide velocity and deceleration during the working portion of the stroke and accelerate in the non working portion, to improve die life and part quality while reducing shock.
Automation further drives productivity through transfer systems, robots, and quick swap blank loaders and coil lines & thus reduce handling time and increase consistency. Strong controls and die protection systems safeguard tooling, while precise alignment of coil feed and tool position ensures repeatable accuracy. A disciplined maintenance strategy ties everything together, preventing unplanned downtime and sustaining performance gains over the long term.
