This seminar is designed to build a solid understanding of AWS welding symbols—clarifying both their proper use and common misapplications. It’s ideal for anyone who interacts with welding symbols, including designers who apply them to drawings, welders who interpret and execute the welds, welding inspectors verifying compliance, new engineers unfamiliar with symbol conventions, as well as shop and field supervisors. Through real-world examples and frequently misunderstood scenarios, attendees will gain practical insight into symbol interpretation and application. Updated symbols and their usage will be introduced with context and clarity.
Attendees will receive copies of AWS A2.4:2020 – Standard Symbols for Welding, Brazing, and Nondestructive Examination, and AWS A3.0:2020 – Standard Welding Terms and Definitions.
